CONCEPT
 Emperor Huiwen of Qin , aka "Ying Si", the son of Duke Xiao of Qin , aka "Qin Xiao Gong", he spent his life on conquered the states of Yiqu on north, Shu and Ba on the west; Hangu Pass on the East and Shang Yu on the southern district, he established the foundation for the future of Qin State . Ying Si passed away when he was young because of a illness, his wife Queen Dowager Xuan , aka "Mi Yue " was left behind. She took her ancestor relics "Sword of Qin Mugong " heading to the tomb of Qin MuGong, an emperor during Spring and Autumn Period Qin , expressed her love to Ying Si:

「一線受恩情,盡得兩境地,陰陽何須由,望子如為王,盼君憶如我。」

Above meaning:
 My Lord, My Husband, this is my greatest gift in my life to have you as my husband; your love and kindness, I don't know how can I return these all to you. And now, you are far away from me, your death makes me lost, but I have to stay strong to teach your son, our son, to be a king full of wisdom like you.I wish I am with you in the heaven, just like the pass, we both stand beside each other.

 Even though the death of Ying Si was eliminated her miss and expression, she stayed strong and raised their son Emperor Zhaoxiang of Qin , aka "Ying Ji " be an enlightened lord. Mi Yue would watch the last sceneery of Qin State together with Ying Si who suffering underworld punishment with his tongue and nose had already been cut-of which made him unable to speak anymore.

 The art concept derive from The Book of Songs, written during Spring and Autumn Period(770-403 BC) and the Warring States Period(402-221BC). The theme surrounds three poetries on Qin State—“The Reeds and Rushes”, “Yellow Birds”, and “No Clothes”—and a chorus. It is written in the style of seal script which was the literary style during that time. The totem is in the design of bronze vessels, symbolizing the greedy beasts Tao-Tie and Qiong-Qi; while misty clouds wavering around the lotus emphasize the softness of the character.

“QIN-JIAN JIA” 
shows the emotions of searching and yearning in relationships—husband and wife, lovers, ruler and his ministers, wisdom seeking. All have frustration and helplessness while facing barriers that lie between one another. All three verses of poem are written at the side of the foundation.

“HUANG NIAO”
 mourns the death of Qin MuGong, an emperor during Spring and Autumn Period, and three wise ministers. It mourns that justice seems to be blinded. One verse of the poem is written on the sword.

“WU YI” 
is a war poem dedicated to Shen BaoXu from Qin AiGong, an emperor during Spring and Autumn Period. Qin was touched when Shen plead to reclaim homeland who wept for seven days and seven nights. The first verse of the poem is written at the sleeve of the character.

「上古造字,玉王同字。三橫天地人,通天地人者,即是為王,亦是為璽。」
 Chorus is edited from a novel, Da Qin Di Guo, in which Mi Yue spoke to her son on the weight of being an emperor. The chorus is written on the fingers of Emperor Hui.

《詩經》十五國風 -秦風篇 蒹葭
「兼葭蒼蒼,白露為霜。所謂伊人,在水一方。溯洄從之,道阻且長;溯游從之,宛在水中央...」
  
主題:

  孝公之子秦惠王「贏駟」一生北掃義渠西平巴蜀,東出函谷南下商於,替秦國未來的統一立下基礎。惠王因病早逝留下愛妻「羋月」,她帶著先祖穆公劍前往祖墓,召喚思念的愛人暨君王贏駟。

  「一線受恩情,盡得兩境地,陰陽何須由,望子如秋月,盼君憶如我。」
  
  就算死亡早已切斷他們,她仍會堅強的扶養起兒子「贏稷」成為丈夫一樣的明君。羋月帶著被陰間用刑,被切斷舌頭與鼻子無法言語的惠王,遙望秦國最後的風景。

  概念取自春秋戰國的禮樂歌賦《詩經》總集四始六義,以秦故事的三詩歌〈蒹葭、黃鳥、無衣〉及一道副詞貫穿主旨,書寫上當時秦國字-小篆體。圖騰為該時期青銅器花紋,意味秦人貪婪兇猛的饕餮與窮奇,和強調人物柔情面的蓮花煙雲。
 

〈蒹葭〉意味夫妻、戀人、君臣、求賢,相互思念尋覓,彼此之間卻有各種困難阻隔的無奈渴望之意/書寫全首三段於地台側面。
  

〈黃鳥〉感嘆先祖秦穆公之死的殉葬,蒼天未開眼,痛悼"三良"的死亡輓詩/書寫一段於劍上。
  

〈無衣〉申包胥向秦乞師復國,痛哭七天七夜哀聲不絕,秦哀公深感同仇敵愾,秦人尚武大德之風的戰爭詩/書寫首段於人物袖口。
